When Badeline appears during a confrontation with Oshiro, she taunts him by suggesting that Madeline only helped him to fuel her own ego. Believing this manipulation, Oshiro becomes enraged and chases Madeline out of the resort, forcing her to navigate a windy area before reuniting with Theo at a gondola lift.

He insists she stay to fix up the dilapidated building, hoping to avoid moving on from his life. Badeline, the manifestation of Madeline's self-doubt and anxiety, intervenes by taunting Oshiro with the idea that Madeline's assistance was purely selfish. This accusation causes Oshiro to lose his temper, leading him to chase Madeline out of the hotel. After escaping, Madeline continues her journey through a windy section of the mountain before reaching Theo at a gondola lift. There, Badeline halts the gondola's motion, triggering a panic attack in Madeline that Theo helps her calm down from.
