In Their Own Story

On April 23, 2025, at approximately 8:40 p.m., Burke arranged an Uber to bring Rivas from Lake Elsinore to his Hollywood Hills residence. Shortly after her arrival around 10:10 p.m., prosecutors allege he stabbed her multiple times without attempting to save her life. At 10:30 p.m., while she was likely already dead, Burke texted asking where she was as part of a cover-up. That night, her phone ceased all activity. By 11:30 p.m., Burke drove to an isolated site off California State Route 154 near Lake Cachuma to dispose of evidence, returning on May 8 and May 31. The next morning, April 24, he attended a radio interview and his album release party while items like chainsaws and a body bag were purchased under aliases "Trayvion Davis" and "Victoria Mendez." Rivas's remains were placed in an inflatable pool, dismembered with a chainsaw, and loaded into the front trunk of Burke's Tesla Model X.
